Creating Reflections in Illustrator

In this tutorial we’ll show you how to create a reflection in Illustrator.

Step 1:  Open the image you want to reflect in Illustrator.

Step 2:  With the image selected right click (command click for Mac) and select the Transform>Reflect option, then COPY the reflection.

Step 3: Move the copied image so it sits directly below the original image.

Step 4:  Place a box with a black/white gradient fill above the reflected image.  Be sure the black is at the bottom while the white sits at top.

Step 5:  Select both the gradient box and the reflected image, click on the arrow next to the Transparency tab and select “Make Opacity Mask.”

Step 6: Select the reflection and change the opacity to your liking.

Obama 2.0 – How you can make it work for you.

Obama’s presidential campaign made the most from web 2.0. He was a master at using new technology to reach out to both his followers, as well as attract new supporters. He had a website which described his policies, fight smear campaigns and to ultimatly reach out to the younger generation which was a huge part of his campaign.

Obama used Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Youtube to help build his following and reach out to supporters.

So what does this mean for a small business or organization? We’ll y0u can do it to find customers or members for your organization. The web can provide incredible opportunities to small or growing organizations.
